Autonomous Color Sorting System

Team: 23

School: Tucumcari High

Area of Science: Engineering

Proposal: The Problem:
The problem we are facing has to do with Bot-Ball, a robotics competition we compete in. The competition requires us to separate different colored game pieces.

Importance:
The importance of this color or game piece sorter is being able to score higher in our robotics competition. This sorter could also be used to sort fruit based on how ripe they are by identifying the color of them.

Desired Outcome:
The result that we are hoping for is a system that can autonomously sort many different colors for robotics competitions or agriculture.

Plan:
We plan to build a sorting mechanism that will be able to differentiate colors and ultimately, separate them into different containers for a competition called Bot-Ball or for agriculture.
