Could robots help prevent natural disasters?

Proposal: The problem we want to research which the world faces is the increased natural disasters from climate change. We know this is a problem because of the damage to an environment or land or communities caused by natural disasters around the world.
We think we can solve the problem by having robots collect data using a seismograph which is safer than having human scientists do the collection. Robots would let us collect data in the middle of the worst disasters.
The coding language we want to learn to work on is C++. We want to make a model to show how much more data a robot can get than a human because they don't have to wait for safe conditions.
