Proposal: Definition of the Problem:

As of October 11th 2022, 6.56 million people died from COVID worldwide. There were a total of 1.06 million deaths in the United States, and it’s still not over yet. In addition to such a tremendous number of deaths and hospitalizations, the world had to implement a global lockdown, which shut down the economy, changed social interactions, and affected mental health.

Purpose of the Project:

The purpose of the project is to learn about viruses and pandemics and to investigate the most recent event, which has not even ended yet. In short, we want to analyze COVID-19 deaths and their correlation with COVID vaccines, and to understand the effectiveness of the vaccines (or the lack of it).

Plan of Action:

We plan to first study viruses, their spread, and their severity, as well as the history of pandemics, and their impact on the global economy.

Based on the additional research, we also want to write a program that will track and graphically represent COVID deaths by state in the U.S. In addition to demonstrating the absolute numbers of COVID deaths, our program will also calculate and demonstrate the ratio of COVID related deaths to the total number of population in each state.

And finally, our program will also demonstrate the daily trends in the number of COVID deaths, and this way, will help us investigate the effectiveness of COVID vaccines.

In the process of time, we may add additional details and findings to our program and our final report.
