Our team feels that we can mathematically predict and analyze the behavior of the rattleback under certain conditions. Variables such as mass, initial orientation, gravity, air resistance, and initial velocity could be altered to simulate many different situations under which the motion could be simulated. The only factor not taken into account in our analysis is the idea that there will be slipping at the contact point, which we should be able to prove unnecessary to simulate the behavior. |
